The Metro DC HBCU Alumni Alliance (DCHBCUAA) supports the mission of HBCUs through scholarship, fundraising, alumni reclamation, and student recruitment. The DCHBCUAA members collaborate to strengthen the community through impactful programs (e.g., Higher Education, Hunger, and Health), and to support underserved students who will attend HBCUs. Founded in 2012, the DCHBCUAA, Inc. is made up of approximately 60 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with a reach of over 250,000 alumni in the DMV. We are a 501c (3) non-profit community-based organization that consists of HBCU alumni chapters and auxiliary organizations in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. We strive to educate our next generation, eliminate food insecurities, and promote a healthier lifestyle in our community. Our goal is to raise $50,000 or more during this year’s Gala… so, please consider donating in addition to purchasing a ticket/table for the event.
The Digital Souvenir Journal is a new initiative of the DCHBCUAA that will be shared with our entire HBCU network, current and future sponsors, and partners beginning on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
This year’s Gala will include live local entertainment, seated buffet dining, a cash bar, a lounge area and much more! We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
